Hey There,

Teal Cole is a native Washingtonian who started on a totally different career path. After deciding that being a bio/premed major would not be the best fit, Teal switched her major to Psychology which would put her on a journey to purpose and passion. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Norfolk State University, Teal began working in the human services field providing case management services along with gaining experience running groups and collaborating with the local child welfare system and other human services stakeholders. Enrolling at Howard University's school of social work program proved to be too much for Teal while working a full time job, leading to her unenrolling and experiencing feelings of failure. However, through determination and persistence,  Teal enrolled to Liberty University's counseling program, graduating  magna cum laude with a degree in Professional Counseling.

 

Continuing to advance her career, Teal received new positions, that would require more from her which produced anxiety and fear. One of those fears involved taking the national  counselor's exam which would allow Teal to become a licensed counselor. However, Teal pressed passed her fear and passed her exam; proving to herself that she can do hard/challenging things. While working as a family therapist for the local government system and working with a friend/colleague doing individual therapy, Teal once again came to a place of fear as she decided that her current professional standing wasn't enough. Enjoying stability but valuing her own voice and calling, Teal decided to bet on herself and thus, the creation of UNTEAL LLC.
